Fully recoonditioned Howard sofa for sale

This sofa is being sold by a reader of this website, we have not seen it nor done any of the work to it so can not vouch for it. But it looks and sounds like it has been restored to a very high standard.

The dimensions are as follows: width 76inches x depth 33inches x height 39inches.

These are the notes from the upholsterer:

After webbing the seat back and arms 98 springs were hand tied to the arms back and seat and then secured with a lashing cord then top sewn through tarpaulin. The front edge of the seat has been stitched with 4 edge stitches to form a strong but comfortable horsehair filled front edge to the seat, then the front of the arms and the top of the arms and back were stuffed with horsehair and stitched in jute scrim. the seat was then second stuffed with top grade horsehair and layered with cotton felt and then calico before the top cover was fitted, at this point all the cushioning was made and filled with top quality pure duck down and then the shaping of the top cover panels was cut out and machined and upholstered to the frame.

A lot of money has obviously been spent on this item, £1000 apparently just on the H&S lining. So please take that into consideration if you wish to make an offer.
