If double feature night wasn't exciting enough, Saturday, Sept. 15, will also feature a pair of bounties up for grabs on 360 Motorsports NASCAR Night at Houston Motorsports Park.

Double features means the fans will get twice the fun, as drivers in the NASCAR Fiesta Modifieds, NASCAR BWFS 360 Trucks and NASCAR Stock Cars, as well as the Ecostock, Bandolero and Legends classes, race for double the points in the 13th NASCAR points event of the 14 originally scheduled for 2012.

Championships in all three NASCAR classes are still up for grabs.

We are coming down to the wire and Saturday night will go a long way in deciding the 2012 champions in all three of our NASCAR classes,” said John Mandabach, vice president and general manager of Houston Motorsports Park. “Being double feature night, fans will see side-by-side, paint swapping action in all 12 races. There is not a better way to spend your Saturday night, then right here at HMP.”

Not only will double the points be on the line in the NASCAR Stock Car and Legends classes, but there will be bounties up for the taking in both.

In the NASCAR Stock Car class, there is a bounty on David Webster and his No. 31. Webster has laid down the fastest lap in seven of nine races this season, and if anybody can beat him – on the track, they will win the $1,000 bounty bonus.

In the Legends class, and thanks to David Harvey Racing, TFE Company and B&R Industries, there is a $500 bounty on the No. 58 driven by Ryan Luza, who has won five times this season and is the current points leader at HMP. And if drivers don't win the bonus in the first race, they will get a second crack at it on Saturday night, where the bonus will climb to $1,000.

There is some serious money on the line Saturday night” Mandabach said. “I expect to see some of the hardest racing of the year on 360 Motorsports NASCAR Night, especially with these two bounty bonuses up for the taking. A couple of drivers have a chance to walk out of here a few dollars richer.”

Gates are set to open at 4 p.m., with racing to begin at 6 p.m.

While supplies last, there are free tickets at 360 Motorsports. Tickets at the front gate are $12, while children 12 and under are free.

And, as always, there will be $1 hot dogs, $1 cokes and $1 beer.

HMP is a state of the art complex, situated in a park like setting inside Beltway 8, on the North-East side of Houston, only 20 minutes from downtown and 20 minutes from Bush Intercontinental Airport.
