Planning Team

The Planning Team started as an interagency group that began meeting in 2011 after the acquisition of the Horseshoe Ranch by the AZ Game and Fish Department.  The first task of the Planning Team was to agree on a tri-agency MOU and secure commitment for the collaborative process.

In November, 2011 a public workshop and field visit kicked off the process. Beginning in January, 2012 the Planning Team was expanded to included non-agency stakeholders.

Purpose of the Planning Team
  1. Collaboratively develop the Coordinated Resource Management Plan (CRMP) for the BLM's Horseshoe and Tonto National Forest's Copper Creek grazing allotments and
  2. Design and participate in ongoing implementation and adaptive management.

Next meeting:  June 7, 2013, 1-4PM, BLM National Training Center (9829 N. 31st Avenue, Phx).  Agenda - see below.
