Bacteria House Party!

Hopkins Improv is a group of grad students and post-docs who share the passion for the comedy improvisation theater. We meet weekly on the Med Campus to practice improv, we perform at the BIG Theater during jam nights and we organize outings to watch shows from professional performers.

Our improv history began with the Improvisation for Communication classes offered by PDCO. The club was founded in 2018 after the troupe The Basement made its debut in the basement floor of the PCTB building on the Johns Hopkins Medical Campus. The club was revived in 2019 with the larger troupe Bacteria House Party, debuting at the BIG Theater in Mt Vernon in March. Check out below some shots from our performances!
