Our Community Thanksgiving Dinner

posted Oct 26, 2018, 9:56 AM by Gethsemane Lutheran Church
The 22nd Annual Community Dinner is Thanksgiving Day at 1 pm in Fellowship Hall. We will once again provide a delicious, free turkey buffet meal open to everyone in the community. It is for families, singles, couples, members, friends, and all our neighbors. In recent years we’ve served a capacity crowd of 235!
Our Social Ministry Team began this holiday dinner in 1997. The goal was to create a welcoming event to which everyone in the community was invited for fellowship, food and celebration. Attendance has more than tripled since that first year!

The 2018 Thanksgiving Dinner will again be possible only through the combined generosity and support of MANY.  How can you help?  Here are some possibilities:
  • attending the meal and participating in the wonderful fellowship
  • inviting others and telling people about it
  • providing food of all types or volunteering to roast a turkey
  • helping at the event with transportation, set-up, greeting, serving or clean-up
  • entertaining the guests with instrumental or vocal music
  • making a financial donation to help purchase last minute needs.

Dinner reservations are necessary. Contact the church office at 952-935-1753 or
