Friday Nights in Faith

We are once again offering Friday Nights in Faith! We are hosting a variety of activities to strengthen our spiritual friendships and build community. Everyone is welcome to come as often as you are able! Attend a series or mix it up! Click here to sign up.

Music, Story and Discovery: A Beach Experience for Toddlers 
Friday, January 11 from 5:30 – 7:00
Escape the winter blues by bringing your toddler to an evening at the beach. Fellowship Hall will be transformed so you and your toddler can discover the sights and sounds of a hot summer day. Music and story time at 6 pm. Come before or stay after for sensory play, a picnic supper and fellowship with new and old friends. Please RSVP by Wednesday, January 9.

Family Disco Party!
Friday, January 18
6:00 pm: Pizza (suggested donation $4 a person or $15 a family)
6:30 pm: Veggie Tales movie, “Celery Night Fever”
7:30 pm: Disco Party!

Youth Room Painting
Friday, January 18, 6-8 pm
Calling all youth! Have you started a painting on the youth room wall but haven't had a chance to finish it? Do you have something to add to the wall? Come down to the youth room! Pizza will be provided.

Visual Arts Series
Friday, January 11 - 7 pm 
Art/Impressionism
Teachers, Marla Gamble and Paul McKenzie, will discuss Impressionism as found in art and music. GLC Fireside Gallery.

Friday, January 18- 7 pm - Minneapolis Institute of Art
Join docent, Susan Rotilie, for a guided tour of the MIA’s highlights.  

Friday, January 25 - 7 pm - Lucy Rose Fischer 
The works of Lucy Rose Fischer will be on display in the Gallery in January and February, so the artist will be here to talk about her work, and her newly published book “I’m New at Being Old.”

Reel Theology
Fridays at 1:00 PM in the Fireside Gallery 
You are invited to the movies! We will watch a thought-provoking movie and have a discussion afterward about the ways that the characters and story connect to our lives of faith. Everyone is welcome and movie snacks will be provided!

Diversity Dinners
Back by popular demand, the Diversity Dinners group, led by Mary Shirley, will visit three different ethnic restaurants in the West metro. Times and locations to be announced.

Theology on Tap
Fridays at 7 PM - Locations TBD
Join us as we visit various brew pubs around the cities and build our spiritual friendships. Each week Dan Platt will lead us to a new site and Pastor John will lead us in theological discussion.
