Spring 2015: West Coast Swing Dance Lessons

Summer 2011: Advanced Salsa Workshop Series at JHMI (Sponsored by the GSA)

Hopkins Dance is organizing a free advanced salsa workshop series in June! Once again, we are bringing Niss Albaig of Salsa Now to teach. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP to hopkinsdance@gmail.com by Saturday, June 11. Space is limited to 40 people and spots will be booked on a first-come, first-served basis. Niss will be teaching advanced combinations and will touch on specifics like cross-body lead variations, copas, and shines. Complete details:

Please note that you should make an effort to attend all three lessons if you wish to sign up. There is no fee, and the event is open to all Hopkins affiliates. However, due to the limited number of spaces, we unfortunately cannot allow non-Hopkins guests to attend these lessons. Also, please sign up only if you feel comfortable with the above prerequisites, as there will NOT be a review of the basics during the lessons. Our first event of the 2010-2011 academic year!  Help us welcome new students. Free Latin dance lessons for all Hopkins affiliates start on Wednesday, September 1. No experience/partner necessary. Spring 2010: Salsa Lessons at JHU's Spring Fair

The committee for JHU's Spring Fair has asked us to provide free salsa lessons during the weekend of April 23rd to 25th. Aggy, Issel, Ahmed, and Jak will be teaching the basics during all three of these one-hour lessons. Come get an introduction to salsa, refresh your memory, help teach beginners, make new friends, or just say hi.

Spring 2010: Salsa Lessons (Sponsored by the GSA)

Hopkins Dance and the GSA are hosting free salsa lessons on Wednesday evenings, March 24-April 28 at Daily Grind in BRB. No experience/partner necessary. No sign-up required. Lessons will be taught by Niss Albaig from Salsa Now (back by popular demand!) and will cover beginner to intermediate material. There will be time for open dancing immediately following the lessons. For those of you who came to last semester's lessons, this will be a great refresher course and will allow you to build on the basics. If any of you can come 15 minutes earlier to help with room setup (moving tables and chairs), that would be greatly appreciated.
