You Can Help: Do you own a piece of Hope or Sunrise history? Photographs, manuscripts, maps, deeds, letters, diaries, and articles help us understand how people lived in our communities. Your donations are the first step to preserving the past. We will do our best to keep your items safe, available to researchers and museum visitors.
Our Mission: The Hope and Sunrise Historical Society is dedicated to preserving photographs, documents, and artifacts related to the communities of Hope and Sunrise Alaska. Information on local history is presented at the Hope and Sunrise Historical and Mining Museum, through programs, publications, and this site.
Online Archive: In 2020, this website's Research page became a new website: Hope and Sunrise Archive.
