The Lakens

About Keith and Virgina Laken

Since the publication of Making Love Again: Hope for Couples Facing Loss of Sexual Intimacy in 2002, Keith and Virginia Laken have been speaking around the country to groups of couples and medical professionals about their experiences in overcoming sexual dysfunction. They hope that their story, expressed candidly in the book and in their talks, gives others struggling with the painful and stressful “life effects” accompanying erectile dysfunction someone to identify with and the inspiration to find the courage to begin making love again, too.

In addition to public speaking and media appearances related to Making Love Again, the Lakens are involved with many professional and civic activities.Virginia, a communications and training consultant, works in the family business and volunteers on the boards of many organizations in their hometown including the local Hospice group. Keith, who spent 23 years in senior and executive positions, is the Executive Director of LifeLine Pilots, a volunteer pilot organization that facilitates free transportation for people in financial distress who have compelling medical or humanitarian needs.

Married for 40 years and living in rural Minnesota, the Lakens have 2 adult children and 5 grandchildren of whom they are enormously proud.
