  • Volunteer at the Terrace Hill
A group called Blüprint at Iowa State University is trying to gauge whether students would be interested in working as volunteers at Terrace Hill (Governor Terry Branstad’s mansion). As of now, the program is in a development stage and there is no guarantee that it will be implemented. We are simply looking to see if this program would be of interest to students.

Volunteer work at Terrace Hill currently ranges anywhere from giving tours to preparing meals for special events. In exchange for 60 hours of work, volunteers will receive a letter of recommendation from First Lady Christine Branstad. This program would especially benefit students who are involved in NHS, Silver Cord, or those who are looking for ways to boost their resumes.

If you would be interested in this opportunity, tell Ms. Caskey and she will contact Bluprint. If our plan is implemented, a representative from Terrace Hill will contact NHS with information on how students can apply.
