Honiton Town Council website serves a leaflet on Roundball Wood.
For a more energetic walk with views to Dartmoor, there is a permissive path across the top of Roundball Hill that you can access from the gate near "Badgers Beech" (shown as the "Approach path" from the south on the leaflet).
