Assistant Professor, Artificial Intelligence and Digital (Railway) Infrastructures

Section of Railway Engineering, Department of Engineering Structures

Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences, Delft University of Technology

h.wang-8@tudelft.nl

I received my Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering and Automation from Mao Yisheng Class, Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, China, in 2012. Since then, I have been engaged in railway research with Prof. Zhigang Liu as the supervisor of my graduate study. From August 2016 to December 2019, I received my PhD degree with the Section of Railway Engineering, Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), Delft, The Netherlands. My PhD supervisors were Prof. Rolf Dollevoet and Dr. Alfredo Núñez. My thesis entitled 'Data-based Dynamic Condition Assessment of Railway Catenaries' can be found here. Until November 2020, I was a postdoctoral researcher in the same research group at TU Delft in cooperation with ProRail. I am currently an assistant professor contributing to research and education in AI-based digital modelling and design of engineering structures with applications in railways and other systems/structures. My position is under the TU Delft AI initiative.
