PURPOSE & PHILOSOPHY
Honey Tree believes that children learn through exploration and play, but also need some structure. We have a schedule so the children will become familiar with a routine, as well as circle time each morning that includes going over the calendar, the weather and the theme for the day. There is ample time for 'free choice' so each child may choose an activity that interests them most. Each day will also include time outside or at the local park. Space is limited with a very low teacher to student ratio of 1:6.
I provide an AM snack, Non GMO and Organic.

About the Owner/Teacher:
I graduated from California State University, Northridge with a degree in Child Development in 2001, and a degree in Psychology in 2003. I was a preschool teacher for the City of Santa Monica, interned as a Child Life Specialist at UCLA Children’s Hospital, and volunteered as a Teacher’s Assistant at California State University, Northridge Child Care Center. I worked as a nanny for high profile families while attending college and have experience caring for newborns to children age 15. Most importantly I am a mother, and understand how difficult it is to leave your children in someone else's care. I am focused on creating a unique preschool environment that offers a variety of enrichment classes tailored to your child's interests. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like to schedule an interview.
