Welcome Everyone !!!!
Hi, I am currently a Ph.D. student at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics, Saarbrücken, Germany.
I work with the Databases and Information Systems group headed by Prof. Dr. Gerhard Weikum.
My areas of research interest broadly span
Databases, Data Mining, Data Streams, Information Retrieval, and Natural Language Processing.
At present, I am exploring novel approaches for faster and scalable Knowledge Harvesting. Specifically, named-entity co-reference resolution and linking forms my present focus of research.
In order to quench my thirst for knowledge, I am also actively involved with various other related research problems pertaining to data compression, indexing, and analytics.
Previously, from July 2010 - March 2013, I was employed as a Software Engineer - Research at IBM-Research India, New Delhi.
I had been a part of the High Performance Analytics research group, where I explored problems primarily related to Data Stream Mining, and Indexing and Caching Techniques for video-on-demand delivery to mobile users.
I had also worked with IT Optimization research team, where I worked in the domain of Cloud Computing to develop approaches for efficient placement and scaling of virtual machines (VM) to offer enhanced Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS).
