CICWA customers in the Scribe Ave/Six Flat Road Ext. area

There is a water line break in the Scribe Avenue and Six Flat Road Extention area. Customers in this area may experience an interruption of water service as repairs are being made. Please be sure to run cold water first after service is restored until the water runs clear to prevent sediment from your lines being pulled into your hot water tank. Thank you.

ATTENTION CICWA water customers: There is a water line break in the area of West Indiana Street. Customers in that area will have an interruption in water service while repairs are being made. Please run cold water once service is restored to prevent pulling sediment into your hot water tank. Thank you!

WARMING CENTER

Due to the impending frigid weather, the Homer City Volunteer Fire Department will be open as a warming center from 8:00 am Wednesday through 8:00 am Friday for anyone in need of heat and shelter.

HALLOWEEN PARADE AND TRICK OR TREAT

The annual Halloween parade will be  held on October 31, 2018 at 5:30 PM beginning near the In-Town Park and will proceed to the Homer City Volunteer Fire Department.  Trick or Treat will follow from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

CICWA HYDRANT FLUSHING

The Central Indiana County Water Authority will be flushing hydrants from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM on October 23rd in Homer City Borough, Robert's Addition and Coy Junction, October 24th in White Township and Center Township (not including Coral and Graceton), and October 25th in Coral, Graceton, Smith Road, Circle Drive, Long Road and Goral Road. Customers may experience some temporary discoloration of water and lower water pressure due to the flushing process. Please run cold water in your home if this occurs until the water runs clear.

Customers of the Central Indiana County Water Authority in the Locust St., Highland Ave. and Station St. areas of Homer City Borough will experience an interruption of water service due to damage to a main line by a utility construction company. Water service will be restored as soon as possible. Please run cold water once service is restored until the water runs clear.

Forest Manor CICWA Customers

Customers of the Central Indiana County Water Authority in the Forest Manor area may experience discoloration of their water today because of a break in a water line.  Temporary repairs have been made, and the discoloration should clear soon.  Please run cold water until the discoloration disappears to prevent pulling sediment from the lines into your hot water tank.  Permanent repairs will be made within the next few days.  Interruption of your water service may occur at that time, but service will be restored as soon as possible.

The Central Indiana County Water Authority has released their Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) for 2017. This report is available online, or if you are unable to view online a printed copy is available at the Homer City Borough office. LEAF PICKUP

Leaf pickup for residents of Homer City Borough will begin November 1, 2017. Pickup will be from Tuesday through Friday from that date forward as needed. Leaves must be bagged, no branches or trash, and placed at the curb. No bags are to be placed out on Monday, trash pickup day.

The annual Halloween Parade and Trick or Treat will be held on Tuesday, October 31,  2017.  The parade will begin at 5:30 at the laundromat and will proceed to the Homer City Volunteer Fire Department.  Trick or Treat will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
