Introduction

Short Bio of Dr. Debajeet K Bora: I am currently working as an assistant professor at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in BenGuerir Morocco. Here, I am associated to research and development projects based on hydrogen energy sector.

Earlier I was an assistant professor at Centre for Nano and Material Sciences, JAIN (deemed-to- be University followed by an oberassistant (staff scientist) position in the group of Prof. Mueller at Laboratory of Energy Science and Engineering, Institute for Energy Technology, ETH Zurich from 2016-2017. Before this, I worked as a physicist postdoctoral fellow at the Advanced Light Source division of Ernest Orlando Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Hereby my main thrust was to understand the mechanism of photoelectrochemical reaction at semiconductor- electrolyte interface with a newly built UHV flow cell along with synchrotron X ray absorption spectroscopy. Back in 2011, there was a huge success in finding the role of electron hole in water oxidation chemistry with this technique. This is the first of kind experiment ever done in artificial photosynthesis area. Following this, I have acquired diverse sets of skills including: nanomaterial fabrication, characterization, nanobiointerface, nanobiotechnology, nanomagnetism, anticancer compounds, solar hydrogen photoelectrodes development, artificial photosynthesis, in-situ liquid based synchrotron spectroscopy and ultra high vacuum instrumentation.
