Holy Trinity, Rotherhithe: The current situation (revised 21st December 2021)
Our Sunday church service time has returned to 10:00 am. We no longer run the on-line zoom services.
Services in church
Church Services can now be open to more people but some restrictions on numbers still apply. Hymns are back!
Sunday services will be at 10:00 am. We are only allowed a maximum of 60 people in the pews. The service will be a Eucharist, but only the bread given. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Thursday services will be at 10:00 am. Same conditions as above.
You must wear a face mask in church. Please bring one with you and wear it during the service.
To help us maintain a safe environment:
Be aware of the need to maintain social distancing, both inside church and outside
Listen to instructions by Welcomers and Wardens
Follow the one way markers on the floor; enter by the main door (unless in wheel chair) and exit via the side ramp door.
To improve ventilation windows and doors will be kept open, so dress appropriately if the weather is colder.
We regret that Sunday School and most other group meetings remain suspended for the time being.
From Father Andrew
In our faith the cross and resurrection go side by side and we look for God in both. In this time of trial as our community, the nation and the world walk in something of the shadow of the cross (certainly the shadow of crisis), we must not cease from looking for God. Not an angry, or vengeful God, but a God who through His Son, brought light into the darkness, taking it even to the cross, so that there is no place, or situation where we might not find God.
In Morning and Evening Prayer I hold you all before God and will continue to do so. If any need to speak to me, even if we cannot meet, please phone 020 7237 4098. We can always pray together that way. If I am not in, leave a message and I will get back to you. You can also reach me by email: email@example.com.
God be with you
