Monday, May 6: #ThankATeacher – Comment on the Holt Elementary Language Academy PTA Facebook page post or on our bulletin board outside the school office with a shout out to the Out-of-This-World educators who inspire, motivate, and teach your children every day.

Tuesday, May 7: #HelpATeacher – Teachers could use a helping hand to provide Out-of-This-World experiences for our students, all year long and especially this week. What does your child's teacher need for the classroom? Restock needed supplies (see Classroom Wishlist by teacher below) or volunteer to help with an activity before the end of the year. To volunteer, you must first be registered as a volunteer with Durham Public Schools. Register by completing the form here.

Wednesday, May 8: #FeedATeacher – The PTA will provide lunch for staff this day. Send an apple or other fruit, treat, or drink to make lunch extra special. We will need volunteers to help cover the cafeteria, so teachers can enjoy their lunch, as well as to help with set up and serving. Email HoltElementaryPTA@gmail.com to volunteer.

Thursday, May 9: #WriteATeacher – Encourage students to draw, color, write to let their teachers know just how OUT OF THIS WORLD they are and to thank them for all they do. You can use our coloring/note page, or create your own. We'll send two home.
