About Me

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Sacramento, California (License # 81254).  I am originally from the greater San Diego area and received my Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development with minors in Sociology and Religious Studies in 2006 from the University of California, Davis.  I received a Master of Science degree from the University of Maryland, College Park in Couple and Family Therapy in 2009.

After graduation, I relocated to Northern California to pursue my career in mental health.  I have been fortunate to gain experience providing therapy for children, teens, individual adults, couples and families across a diverse range of settings including the University of Maryland Center for Healthy Families, Fred Finch Youth Center, Life Practice Counseling Group, Stanford Youth Solutions (formerly Stanford Home for Children), The Anxiety Treatment Center of Sacramento, and Ewing Psychological Center. I am currently employed full time with the Elk Grove Unified School District as a Mental Health Therapist.

I am amazed by the courage and strength people exhibit in their vulnerability and desire to make difficult changes in their lives. I am appreciative of the trust placed in me by clients who have chosen therapy as the path to achieve the changes they desire.  For this reason and many others, I am passionate about mental health and the positive effects that therapy can create.  In my spare time, I love to travel, read, garden, and spend time outdoors with my husband and our labrador retriever, Trooper.
