Syllabus

Journey of the Hero is a one term class. There will be four lessons, each accompanied with homework. Lesson 5 is included to wrap up loose ends and to get you thinking ;) All assignments are worth a maximum of 30 points. The final is mandatory and worth 30 points. There are also 15 points available for participating in class discussions. More information about class discussion is HERE. The maximum number of points you can earn from this class is 300 points.

Instead of extra credits, there will be a term-long project. You can choose a story at the beginning of term and go through the journey of the hero along with my lessons. Or you can wait to see a few lessons before you choose a story. It is completely up to you. The entire project is worth 130 points. For more details, click HERE.

This class is part of HOL, so all HOL rules apply.

Introductory Assignment - 5 points

Homework - 120 points

Passing and Quills

In order to pass the class and earn a quill, you must earn at least 120 points and pass the final.

Awards

There will be two awards given at the end of term.

Ultimate Boon - given to the student(s) who earns the most points

Master of Two Worlds - given to students who complete the class project

Deadlines and Extensions

The deadline for homework assignments is the last day of each month. If you need an extension, please let me know before the due date. You can do the project parts at your own pace. All work must be submitted by June 15th.

Late Assignments

You may turn in assignments late, but you will automatically lose 10 points. You can still receive the bonus points if the homework has bonus points.
