HOMEWORK (30 points)

What is the Treatment? (3 points each)

Using what you learned in the lesson, tell me what you would do in each of the following scenarios. Please answer in complete sentences. Each question is worth 3 points! Make sure your answer reflects that. I WILL take off points for lack of effort.

1. During the reign of Dolores Umbridge at Hogwarts, almost all students suffered from Umbridge-itis. How were the students able to skip Umbridge's classes?

2. A student ventured a little too close to the Whomping Willow. He was thrown around and somehow lost part of his left leg bone. How can you help him?

3. On a visit to the Department of Mysteries, a student walked next to the brains. He was attacked by one brain and left with quite a few scars. What can you do to help him?

4. Your friend's stomach does not agree with something she ate. She is vomiting non-stop. What can you do to put her out of misery?

5. Your friend has a sudden breakout of pimples the night before the Yule Ball. She is freaking out! What do you suggest she should do?

6. In the winter, the contrast between the cold air outdoors and the warm, dry air indoors makes the nose susceptible to nosebleeds. What should you have ready to combat those nosebleeds?

7. You trick your friend into eating Fever Fudge, but she develops large, pus-filled boils. What can you do to help her?

8. You wake up and see a giant pimple on your forehead. You immediately reach for the Ten-Second Pimple Vanisher, but you are all out! What else could you try?

9. You find a girl lying on the ground in front of the portrait of Sir Cadogan. When Sir Cadogan is questioned, he says, "I simply challenged her to a duel. Young lass must have fainted." How can you revive her?

10. Your family is planning to go on a cruise. You notice that your cruise ship will pass by Azkaban. What might you want to bring on the cruise?

EXTRA CREDIT (30 points)

Please complete TWO (2) options. Each option is worth 15 points.

1. Invent another sweet that could be included in the Skiving Snackbox. What is the name of the sweet? What colours are the sweet? What illness does the sweet induce? Are there any side effects? (Minimum 100 words)

2. Which product mentioned in the lesson is the most useful for you? Why? Which product is the least useful for you? Why? (Minimum 100 words)

3. Create an advertisement for one of the products mentioned in the lesson. This can be a graphic, a video, or a jingle. Upload any images to an image-hosting site and send me the link.

4. Write a short story about how one of the products mentioned in the lesson was created. (Minimum 100 words)

5. 15 words/phrases (4+ letters long) from the lesson are hidden in the following wordsearch. You may send in a list of the words or a link to the completed puzzle (or both!).
