What is the Treatment? (3 points each)
Using what you learned in the lesson, tell me what you would do in each of the following scenarios. Please answer in complete sentences. Each question is worth 3 points! Make sure your answer reflects that. I WILL take off points for lack of effort.
1. Remember that basilisk that was on the loose? It bit someone! What can you do to help the victim?
2. One of your roommates is redecorating the room. She accidentally burns herself when moving a candle. How can you help her?
3. Your friend was on the receiving end of a practical joke and now has boils on parts of his body. What can you do to help him?
4. In Herbology class, your friend is scratched by a plant. Her arm begins to swell. How can you help her?
5. You see a student running in circles around the Great Hall, almost hysterical. What can you do to help him? What might have caused this behaviour?
6. Extremely frustrated, you accidentally kick your friend under the table while studying for Potions in the Library. A purple bruise begins to develop on his shin. How can you make it better?
7. Your father returns from a business meeting in Africa. He is feeling a bit sick and keeps complaining about the mosquitoes there. What do you think you can do to help him?
8. The weather is growing cooler, signifying that it is almost flu season. What can you do to prepare for the flu?
9. A werewolf has attacked a student. Luckily, there was no full moon. How can you treat his wounds?
10. Your owl came back from a long journey with many cuts. How can you help her before you turn her over to the Care of Magical Creatures professor?
Please complete TWO (2) options. Each option is worth 15 points.
1. Invent another potion that can be used in Healing. What is the name of the potion? What is the use of the potion? What ingredients are needed to brew the potion? What does the potion look like? (Minimum 100 words)
2. Research how a cream is used in Healing. Compare and contrast a cream to a paste and to an ointment. (Minimum 100 words)
3. Write a short story about an instance where you needed to use an antidote. (Minimum 100 words)
4. Draw or create a picture of an antidote, potion, paste, or ointment. Upload the image to an image-hosting site and send me the link.
