Elizabeth Hodges Educational Foundation

An Educational Foundation was established by the late Miss Elizabeth Hodges, of Shipton Moyne, under the terms of her will dated 23rd May 1723 for the benefit of young people living in the Parishes of Didmarton, Westonbirt and Lasborough, Shipton Moyne, Long Newnton, Ashley and Tetbury Upton.

The Deed specifies that the income of the Foundation shall be used in promoting education (including social and physical education) to persons under the age of twenty five who live, or whose parents live, within these Parishes, and who would benefit from some financial assistance to support their studies.

Grants applications can be for help with the purchasing of books and materials needed to study at University or College, for equipment to undertake educational trips, for tools required to undertake an Apprenticeship or for general financial assistance.

All grants are looked at individually and are considered on their educational merit.
