What is USY?

What is USY?

United Synagogue Youth is an international organization that incorporates Jewish education and a social environment simultaneously. USY has chapters all over the United States and Canada.

How old do I have to be?

Any Jewish teenager in grades 9 through 12 can be a member of USY.

Why would I want to join USY?

In our chapter, we have events ranging from game-playing to scavenger hunts to baking/cooking to trips to New York City and more!  Our chapter is also part of the Hagalil region, which covers all of North and Central New Jersey.  The region has conventions, dances, and other events in which you can meet Jewish teens from other parts of the state.  Internationally, USY has a week-long convention in December that has been held in cities like Toronto, Boston, Orlando, Anaheim, Philadelphia, Washington, DC, and more!  USY also offers summer programs like USY on Wheels, in which you travel across North America on a bus for 6 ½ weeks, and Pilgrimage, in which you can travel to various places in Europe and Israel!

Sounds great! How do I join?
