Where the Money was Donated 2014/15

Vanuatu Cyclone Relief - $10,000 directly and $6,500 raised by a local restaurant and given to Rotary Hobart to 
use for Vanuatu.
This money is part of a Rotary Tasmania project to assist Vanuatu with long term rebuilding from the cyclone - will be managed by Rotary in Vanuatu.

Nepal Earthquake Relief - $10,000
Sent to the local Nepal Rotary organisation to manage long term rebuilding in Nepal.

Royal Hobart Hospital Maternity Unit - $4,000
Purchase of a Blood Pressure and Temperature monitoring machine.

Seats for Common Ground - $6,270
Refurbishment and installation  of outdoor seats, donated by the Hobart City Council,   at Common Ground, Campbell Street

Goodwood Primary School - $6,000
The school needed new non-fiction books for remedial purposes for the whole class/group to use at the same time.

City Mission - $5,000
To assist with Accommodation and facilities for Young Mothers at Risk

Interplast - $5,000
Interplast is provided ongoing medical/surgical assistance,including training local medical staff in developing countries.
Rotary Hobart has provided $34,500 assistance since 2006-7.

Sara Waitzer Rowing Appeal - $1,500
Sara is a visually impaired rower, obtaining 4th place at the Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston, USA.
The club donated $1,500 to assist with the purchase of a new rowing shell.

Sailability - $2,000
To assist with the purchase of a new boat for disabled Sailors

Rotaract - $3,000
Rotaract Tasmania will be hosting the Rotaract National Conference in 2016. Rotary Hobart has provided seed funding towards this event

RYLA - $3,520
Enabled four students to attend RYLA.

Windward Bound Trust - $10,000
Rotary Hobart, together with Windward Bound Trust and the Migrant Resource Centre, funded a voyage for ten refugee youth from disadvantaged backgrounds accompanied by 10 young Tasmanians as mentors.  The voyage was aimed at building the life skills of the young participants.

Funding for the school team to attend the National Final of the Science and Engineering Challenge.

This Project is run by the Bream Creek based riding school to assist children with learning difficulties.

Asthma Foundation - $1,000

Giant Steps - $1,000
To sponsor a child with Autism.

Tas Youth Conference - $1,320

Phillipines Medical Equipment - $1,000
The Rotary Club of Evandale is raising funds to send medical equipment to the Phillipines.
