HIGH SCHOOL MUSIC STUDENTS' CONCERT UNIFORM INFORMATION 
FOR CONCERTS

Information about the uniforms for girls and boys beginning in the 2018-2019 school year was contained in an October 5, 2018 email message that was sent to all music students' families.  Rule sheets were created and signed by families when the uniforms were picked up.  For reference, both items of information are posted to the left of this announcement.

 HERCULES MUSIC BOOSTERS ASSOCIATION MEETINGS
Meetings are open to all.  In the 2018-2019 school year, there will be two Music Departments with Sharon Calonico as the Middle School Music Director and Arleen Wong as the High School Music Director.  The dates for the board meetings in the 2018-2019 school year will appear on the calendar.  Agendas for each meeting, as they become available, will be attached to each date. Once they are approved at a Board meeting, the minutes will be posted there as well.  The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, December 10, 2018.

MUSIC DIRECTORS' SYLLABUSES POSTED 

The information about the music classes, expectations of music students, and other important details that families need to know are posted on this web site under each Middle School or High School music section on the list to the left of this message.  Each syllabus includes a page that the parent/guardian signs and returns to the Music Director by the announced deadline date.


SUPER BOOSTERS

Students, parents, and community members are encouraged to become Super Boosters.  Click on the Super Boosters menu option at the left of this message to read the details listed on the form provided there.  Once your Super Booster membership is received and recorded, you will have a membership number and your name will be on the master list next to the name you used when you joined.  Your number, if selected, can be drawn for a surprise to be awarded during the concert.  At any time during the 2018-2019 school year, check the list by clicking on the Super Boosters menu item to the left of this message.  The form can be downloaded, completed, and provided with payment to Mrs. Wong or Mrs. Calonico.  As of the end of the concert on  October 17, 2018, the number of families who became Super Boosters made it possible for the Middle School music students to be awarded a Pizza Party at some time in the future.


MUSIC CONCERTS SCHEDULED FOR 2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR

Posted on the Calendar to the left of this announcement are the scheduled music concerts for the 2018-2019 school year.  All concerts (except the All-District Music Festival at the Richmond Auditorium) will take place in the Hercules High School Gymnasium with performances starting at 7:00 p.m.  In the days leading up to each concert, the Hercules Middle School and Hercules High School Music Directors will be reminding their students and the students' families about the details.  As they are made available, flyers with pertinent details will be attached to each concert date on the calendar.  


POPCORN SALES ARE OVER

The Hercules Music Boosters helped students raise money for their upcoming spring Music Study trip.  100% of the popcorn sales profit directly benefited the students.  The top two sellers, Kailey Mori and Anja Magsombol, have received a $10.00 credit on the cost of their Educational Excursion.  Popcorn pick-up happened on Monday, December 3rd, after school beginning at 2:30 pm, in the High School Choir room H-514Thanks to all those generous persons who purchased popcorn!


PHOTOGRAPHS OF MUSIC EVENTS

All those who attend a musical event on the Hercules Middle School and Hercules High School campus and take photographs are encouraged to submit them directly to the Facebook page, the address of which is shown at the right-hand side of this message.  Also, photographs taken at other events such as those occurring in the Hercules community and competitions outside Hercules can also be submitted to the Facebook page.  The Photo Gallery section on this website has been discontinued and all previously-posted photographs were removed as of May 5, 2017.
