GAME REGULATIONS

AGE GROUPS

  • U13 born in 1.1.2004 or later
  • U12 born in 1.1.2005 or later
  • U11 born in 1.1.2006 or later
  • U10 born in 1.1.2007 or later
  • U9 born in 1.1.2008 or later
 

GAME REGULATIONS

The game rules to be applied shall be consistent with the tournament regulations of the Football Association of Finland with the following exceptions:

U13: 11v. 11, normal off-side rule, substitutions in and out during a game break with the referee's approval

U12: 11 v. 11, normal off-side rule, substitutions in and out during a game break with the referee's approval

U11: 8 v. 8, off-side rule box, substitutions in and out from the run

U10: 8v. 8, off-side rule box, substitutions in and out from the run

U9: 8 v. 8, off-side rule box, substitutions in and out from the run

 

PLAYING TIME

U12, U13: Playing-time is 2x20 minutes.
U9, U10, U11: Playing -time is 2x15 minutes.

GROUP PHASE AND THE CUP GAMES

In the U12 and U13 tournament
The teams are divided in two groups (6 teams in each). The teams that have positioned themselves:

- 1st and 2nd will play quarter finals against each others (e.g. A1st against B2nd). The winners will proceed to the finals on Saturday and the loosers will play for the bronze. 

- 3rd and 4th will play quarter finals against each others. The winners will play on Saturday for the positions 5-6 and losers for positions 7-8.

- 5th and 6th will play quarter finals against each others. The winners will play on for the positions 9-10 and losers for positions 11-12. 

 

In the U9, U10 and U11 tournament

All Cup games will be played on Sunday.

In the group phase all teams will play against one another (three games/ team). These games will all be played on Saturday. 

The two best teams in each group will play in the quarterfinals and semifinals as well as bronze medal and final games on Sunday for all positions 1.-8.

The teams from the group phase that have positioned themselves third will form a new group in which they play against one another for the places 9.-12.

The teams from the group phase that have positioned themselves fourth will form a new group in which they play against one another for the places 13.-16.

 

THE POSITION IN THE GROUP PHASE 

In U12 and U13 tournament: 

  1. Points (win 3, draw 1) if at least two teams have the same amount of points in the group phase, their ranking will be decided by:
  2. The amount of points achieved in the games between the teams in question b) the goal difference in the matches between the teams in question c) goals scored in the matches between the teams in the question 
  3. If the positions cannot be resolved according to the second clause, then the ranking will be decided by: a) the goal difference in all the group matches b) goals scored in all the group matches.
  4.  If there is still no difference between the teams after the third clause, the group placement will be decided by the draw.
 
In U9, U10 and U11 age goup's tournament:
Group phase positions will be decided by: 
  1. Points (win 3, draw 1) 
  2. The goal difference 
  3. Goal scored 
  4. Draw

Drawing is not applied in the group phase when playing for the positions 9. to 16th. If the teams are even in this group phase, those teams will share the final standing in the tournament.

PENALTIES
  • If there is a tie in the cup-phase, a penalty-kick competition will follow immediately.
  • In U12 and U13 classes there will be five shooters from each team. In the U9, U10 and U11 classes three shooters. If the score is still even after these shooters, the competition will continue one by- one until the game is decided. 
  • The participants of the penalty-kick competition do not have to be on the pitch when the regulation time ends. When total of 8 players in the U8, U9 and U10 classes, or 11 players in the U11 and U12 have kicked, and the score is still even, teams can start a new round with same players.

MORE 

  • The game-ball is sized four in all classes.
  • In the U12 and U13 the games will be played in a normal sized pitch.
  • The games in the U9, U10 and U11 tournaments will be played in one half of a normal sized pitch.
  • A red card will automatically result in a one game ban.
  • During the tournament weekend, the player can only represent one team.
  • No over-aged players are allowed.
  • The maximum amount of players in the age groups U13 and U12 is 18 players and in age groups U11, U10 and U9 is 14 players.
