Autonomus tests the waters in Horten Bay

The prototype of Autonomus has been tested in the waters of Horten bay. 

The thesis of the students this year has been working on the rudder and servomechanism, and the boat has been tested in the waters with success.

Finalizing the Bachelor thesis

In this days the project groups are finalizing their Bachelor thesis. We are proud of what we have achieved so far and we will show of our work at the technical exhibition at the Vestfold University College on the dates 6. to 7. June.

Sailing autonomous in Sail Simulator 5

Video taken from Sail Simulator 5. In this video the boat is steering autonomous using a sailing algorithm and it reads coordinates from a text-file. Destination of this test route, is the Island preset as position longitude 0, latitude 0.

A part of the software that makes a route for the sailboat based on weather statistics. The different colors represents different datalayers for the representing position. You can also see the route painted in yellow. 

The Route shown here is from Penzance, England to Jacksonville, USA. Note that this is probably not the destination.
