Our Main Street Museum is open from mid-May through October, with business meetings in the spring and fall, and programs scheduled throughout the summer months. We have added several albums of photographs and historic documents to our collection, including over 1,600 items from the Thomas Osgood, Esq. collection. Thomas Osgood was an early town clerk in Cabot who served from 1796 to 1832, with the exception of the year 1822, when Joseph Fisher held the office. When Osgood became unable to serve due to advanced age, his son, Thomas, Jr., was elected and held the office for the next 15 years, resigning just before his death in 1858.
Should you desire to visit either our Main Street Museum or the restored West Hill School when they are not scheduled to be open, contact our president, Bonnie Dannenberg at 802-563-3396, or our archivist, Jane Brown at 802-563-2381. We will be happy to make arrangements for you to visit either museum. If you plan to visit during scheduled open dates and need to have specific information available, please contact either Bonnie Dannenberg or Jane Brown. You may also reach us by e-mail at email@example.com for information or to make arrangements to visit.
We would also like to hear from anyone who would like to host a program that would be of interest to our public and members; or, perhaps you have an idea for a program that would be of particular interest. Please do not hesitate to contact us.
