Luke Fisher Farm

Luke Fisher, award-winning farmer, husband and father, had a hillside farm west of Cabot village. It belonged to his grandfather, Joseph Fisher, since 1882.  Local historian, Barbara Carpenter, wrote about the Fisher Farm in 2017.  Her report said:  " . . . it was Luke who played a heroic part in the introduction of testing for bovine tuberculosis in Vermont and, subsequently, the nearly complete eradication of this disease in the cattle of this State."
