Abstract: »The comfort women system, in which the Japanese military forced women into cruel sexual slavery during the 1930's, has been covered up in Japan and little addressed by Chinese scholars. Comfort women were local citizens seized or deceived by the Japanese military or local traitor organizations and confined in brothels that served the military and other groups of Japanese. This system was widespread in all the countries Japan invaded, and Chinese women comprised the largest portion of the comfort women population.« [Source: Historical Abstracts]
