Abstract: »An essay is presented which focuses on songs related to rape in the 1990s. The song "Date Rape" was added by the alternative music station KROQ to its list in the year 1995. Men's accounts of rape such as Nirvana's song "Polly" and Stone Temple Pilots' song "Sex Type Thing," used first-person perspective of the rapist to explain horror of the act.« (Source: EBSCOhost)
