We have built up an impressive portfolio of clients including English Heritage, the The Discovery Channel , BBC, Channel 4, various maritime museums as well as several major festivals including the International Festival of the Sea at Portsmouth and 'Meet Your Navy' events.
What our sponsors say:
The Historical Maritime Society brought a real flavour of the 18th century to our event at Leeds City Museum celebrating the new Harrison Clock display. For 2 hours, the various members of 'the crew' kept visitors enthralled with tales of life at sea, from a carpenter to a surgeon, accompanied by an impressive range of objects to be explored and detailed knowledge of the period. The authenticity and detail of the costumes worn by the re-enactors added to the whole experience. A pleasure to work with.

“HMS Trincomalee always welcomes HMS aboard. This highly professional re-enactment team brings the Ship alive to the delight of our visitors and our staff. Whenever HMS comes to us, we get more publicity, more visitors and visitors who stay longer. And every time they come to us, our team learns a bit more about life in Nelson’s Navy. Well done HMS, we’re proud to be associated with you!”

"Over the years we have enjoyed working with the Historical Maritime Society at various maritime-related historical events that we have staged on behalf of our clients. The group are hard-working, authentic, yet easy to work with. Whether crewing a period ship, sailing their 23 foot launch or chatting to visitors, HMS are always a popular addition to our shows".

“The HMS has been coming now to Whitby for many years in September. It is always a delightful weekend for the staff of the Captain Cook Museum and their visitors. HMS just about takes over the Museum, filling it with life and colour.
There is always something new, and the members engage with our visitors with fascinating information and stories from Britain ’s naval past.
We look forward to the visit every year”

We are often called on for filming work. Over the years HMS has built up a reputation for quality film work. We can provide accurate clothed people to portray navies (not just the Royal Navy but French and Spanish too) of the Napoleonic period. We can also provide people to portray the Royal Navy of WWII.
We are able to provide acknowledged experts in the Royal Navy of the period to talk about or demonstrate all aspects of shipboard life.
Our work has included projects for Channel 4, BBC and the Discovery Channel.
