I am a post-doctoral research fellow of Japan Society for the Promotion of Science. I received a Ph.D. in Political Science from University of Tokyo (2017). My research interests include electoral systems, voting behavior, legislative institutions, quantitative methodology, causal inference, and formal theory. I am currently studying political representation, spatial voting, strategic voting, economic voting, strategic timing of parliamentary dissolution, politically motivated intergovernmental transfers, and politically-connected firms.
