Hiroshi Morita is an Associate Professor in the School of Engineering at Institute of Science Tokyo. His research lies in empirical macroeconomics and Bayesian time-series econometrics, with a particular focus on the effects of fiscal and monetary policy in Japan. Methodologically, his work centers on time-varying parameter VARs, regime-switching and nonlinear VAR models, local projections, and narrative identification of policy shocks. His recent research examines fiscal multipliers under the effective lower bound, central bank information effects, and the macroeconomic consequences of uncertainty. He holds a PhD in Economics from Hitotsubashi University.
