Namaste All

Shree Prajapati Association Birmingham in conjunction with Birmingham Mochi Volleyball Team is to work together to raise £5000 to purchase a Defibrillator for our partners The Medlife Foundation.
In the past we have been successful in raising funds to purchase 2 neo natal incubators and 2 pulse monitors.

On Saturday 2nd April 2016 a Dinner and Dance will be held at The Tower Mount, 90 Reservoir Road, Edgbaston to raise the funds. We will have committee members coming round to sell tickets. Tickets can also be purchased from the hall on a Thursday evening from 7.00pm till 9.00pm.
The children whom are helped are from the poor of poorest people in India. Some of the children are abandoned by their own families, because of the craniofacial deformities.

So let us come together and change the lives of many children to give them a second chance in life. A chance that they will appreciate and be grateful.

Who and what are The Medlife Foundation

The Founder and director of The Medlife Foundation is Dr Shyam Seth. The foundation offers FREE reconstructive surgery for children and adults from rural parts of India who have the craniofacial birth defects/born with cleft lip and palate deformities.
The aim is bring back smiles on the faces of the patients and to achieve this is by providing a Gold service regardless of cost.
The foundation heavily relies on donations. Donations are used on various surgical materials, equipment, after surgery rehabilitation, speech therapy and many more.
Apart from the medical expertise, the foundation gives support and specialist advice to children/adults with special needs, nutritional support and many more..
Some third of the children are shunned and ostracised (excluded) by parents and their communities.

What is a Defibrillator

A defibrillator is an electrical device that provides a shock to the heart when there is a life-threatening and very rapid erratic beating of the heart. What the defibrillator does, it provides shock that basically shocks the heart to stop so that it can start rhythmically contracting again. It’s an incredible life-saving tool that is literally saving thousands of lives a year.
