Why consider Hillside House for your child?
Art - Nature - Science
Science, Nature & The Arts will be emphasized in the curriculum by daily exploration and weekly experimental projects - outdoors and within the classroom - including weather, biology, gardening, geology, geography, aquatics, physics, chemistry, cooking, role playing, reading, painting, puppetry, music, art sensory, history & appreciation with daily observation,  discussion & theory, as well as recordkeeping.

The importance of the environment and observation shall support the emotional, social, cognitive & physical development of each child.

Grace & courtesy, as well as diversity, tolerance, peace & mindfulness, will gently guide the children.

Hillside House is a part of the community and will support those in need including baking pet treats for shelters, flower growing/arranging for sick and elderly, as well as a "Little Library" and "Garden Exchange" farmer's table on the premises.

Current Announcements

  • Bath and Sink Fixtures... Today, we spent most of the morning at the Ferguson Plumbing Tent Sale in McFarland.  Picking out bathtubs, sinks. faucets, vanity, lighting fixtures, doorknobs, etc.  All at mostly half off!  Always nice to find the savings when you can on new items for the house!  Wait till you see the sweet cobalt blue glass sink for the classroom.  I know it is extravagant, but will be a beautiful addition to our daily space.  Stay tuned!
