Who can play on the Plexipave Courts 1, 2 and 3?

The general public (ie. Non-members) are welcome to play on the Plexipave courts - courts 1, 2 and 3, when they're not being used for coaching, training, matches etc.

The Highton Tennis Club Incorpoated has a Lease Agreement with the City of Greater Geelong Council.

A list of times the Highton Tennis Club has authority from Council to utilise the courts is listed in the window of the clubhouse.

Who can play on the Synthetic Grass Courts 4, 5 and 6?

Courts 4, 5 and 6 (synthetic grass) are strictly for the exclusive use of members only. Every member of a family is issued with a shoe tag when you pay membership . If you dont have a shoe tag you are not a member of the club. Keys are available to purchase for members to access courts.

Those members who have a gate key are reminded that the synthetic grass courts are for members only. Non-members, including family and friends who are not members of Highton Tennis Club, are not permitted on the synthetic grass courts. Please keep the gate shut at all times when you are playing and do not allow non-members onto the courts.

Eg. If only one person in your family is a member then no other family member or their friends can play on the courts. You are welcome to upgrade to a family membership at any time. Please contact the Executive Committee to enquire on family memberships.

Why is this so?

The club must put away $10,000.00 each year to go towards resurfacing the 3 synthetic grass courts. Yes, the club has to pay when the courts wear out. Also we pay about $1000.00+ a year to service the court surface and sand. Then there are lights to maintain at $100.00 per light globe (plus fitting and there are 36 of them). The synthetic grass may last ten years if we take good care of them, so that is why members only can play on the courts.

These are our courts to enjoy, so please look after them!
