Can I Bring My Spouse/Friend to Kanab with Me?
At every Red Rock Great Teaching Retreat, each participant always has a private hotel room. Consequently, participants at previous retreats have
requested to bring a family member or friend with them. We will accommodate such requests but with
one important condition.
Condition for Bringing Personal Guests:
If you bring guests to the retreat, you and they must
understand that YOUR FIRST PRIORITY IS FULL PARTICIPATION IN ALL RETREAT
ACTIVITIES. The other participants at
the retreat will be counting on you to be fully involved in all of the
activities, including meals. Important
conversations often happen during meals and break times. We have scheduled free time in the afternoon
on Friday for participants and their personal guests to go on a hike or to do a little sightseeing in the
area (see the Prior Preparation page for information about local attractions).
Extending Your Stay:
Some participants may want to arrive early or stay over the
weekend to enjoy more time in the area. You may contact the Kanab Days Inn (435-644-2562) and reserve the same hotel room throughout
your stay. Of course,
you will be personally responsible for any additional room charges.
Room Costs for Personal Guests:
If you have more than two people staying in your hotel room, the Kanab Days Inn charges $10/night for each additional person. You will need to provide a personal credit card number when you check in to cover any additional charges.
Meals for Personal Guests:
Our meals will be served by a local catering service. The cost of participants' meals is included
in the retreat fee; however, if your personal guest would like to dine with the retreat
group, the additional cost will need to be paid in advance. If your guest would rather dine elsewhere, several
restaurants are available in Kanab. Also, each hotel room has a refrigerator and microwave oven for food from the local supermarket. Days Inn provides a deluxe breakfast (6-10 a.m. daily) for ALL hotel guests.
The cost of catered meals and refreshments is $60 for each personal guest, but this service cannot be provided unless you confirm* with the retreat coordinator (by e-mail or phone) AND send payment (postmarked) ON or BEFORE Thursday, February 13, 2014. Please send a check or money order made payable (in U.S. Dollars) to HIGHROAD PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, LLC:
