Club Progress - Thanks to You

Four years of earning and saving have finally brought to fruition a major step in the improvement of Higgins Field.
Members and guests have been supporting this project (and others) with their dues and participation in club events.
Now that this new pump is installed you will see a much more uniform green all summer long in 2014 because the sprinklers will have the water volume and pressure to do their jobs.

IMAC Regional Finals Info

posted Sep 25, 2013, 9:14 PM by R. Scott Page

The field is closed during the IMAC contest on Saturday (9/28) and Sunday morning (9/29).

The field is open for flying Wednesday (9/25) thru Friday (9/27). However, please be considerate of the IMAC guys & gals. They will be arriving as early as Wednesday for practice. The field will be open again Saturday after freestyle. Also the field will be open Sunday as soon as the final IMAC flights are completed.

We need some volunteers to scribe for the judges, please. It is an easy task and really helps things go smoothly.

Field Closure 9/23 - 9/25

posted Sep 21, 2013, 9:28 PM by R. Scott Page   [ updated Sep 21, 2013, 9:28 PM ]

The field will be CLOSED FOR FLYING on Sept. 23rd thru the 25th.

We need the time apply fertilizer, mow & thatch with no disruptions that wont affect our members.

I apologize for the short notice but its just the way things worked out. Some of our members that are contributing the work/material have real jobs and we need to work around their schedules. If you have any gripes, then feel free to send them to me.  or call me here 588-8842

Were trying to get the field ready for this week’s IMAC event as well as Indian Summer.

As always, the Club could sure use the support from each and every member for this weekend. IMAC provides a HUGE amount of our funding to maintain our facility but it cant be done without support from our members.

Horrible accident costs young talented Heli pilot his life.  Regardless of skill or confidence, you can't be too safe.

123d with Michael Wargo Episode 1

HobbyKing has started a really good (so far) series of videos.  Michael Wargo is a very accomplished pilot and he discusses with Matt Feinstein how to set up an airplane correctly.    This one is actually the first in the series... but what the heck.   :-)
