Welcome to Our Web Site
The Hickerson Station church of Christ congregation is a group of Christians studying, learning and growing together as we follow Christ and His will for us as seen in the New Testament.  We strive to be as Jesus instructed in John 4:24 "true worshipers in spirit and in truth".

Our Mission
We take as our mission statement what man has come to know as the "great commission".  Matthew 28:18-20 "And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore[a] and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”  We consider this to be our privilege and duty.

What to expect when you visit our congregation

Everyone is welcome and visitors may participate or simply watch and listen.  We hope to be like the Christians in Acts chapter 2, a group of people who are friendly, like-minded and helpful to one another (Gal 2:13).  We also want to honor God with a reverent and humble attitude.(Heb 12:28) Our leadership includes faithful male members who are willing to serve this congregation as minister, song leaders, adult bible class teachers, those who lead prayer, make announcements and serve during the Lord’s Supper.  All aspects of our services are designed to reflect the practices and doctrine taught in the New Testament (Acts 2:42-43, II John)

Our Bible Class periods are designed for open discussion. We have bible study on Wednesday at 7pm , Sunday Morning at 9:30am and from March through October we have a ladies bible class on Wednesday evenings at 6pm.  The lessons are focused on biblical topics or a particular scripture selection.  The teachers invite the class to share their thoughts, make comments and ask questions.  We have classes for all ages from toddlers through adults.  We encourage everyone to bring their own bible or use the bible provided in the pew or classroom.  We stress regular, ongoing bible study as a way to grow in our knowledge of the Lord and His will for us.  Our members are encouraged to include bible study in their daily routines as well as participating in our scheduled bible study opportunities. (II Tim 2:15, Rev. 22:18-19, Eph 3:3-4, I Peter 2:2, Heb 10:24-25)
