If you didn't know your eyes were open, you'd swear they were closed. No matter how hard you squint, you can't see a thing. The floor underneath you feels rigid and irregular. You reach out and find contact with walls on either side. They feel smooth and cool. It appears you're in a tunnel of some sort, maybe there's a way out. You set off, feeling your way along the walls. It's not long before the passageway opens up a bit, and it seems that there's a light around the next bend. You hear the dull murmur of one or more voices and what sounds like the crackling of a fire.
