Thanks to our members, Board and friends of Hernando Chapter for a great year of programs, field trips and community events and projects.

Reminder: No meeting on December 2. We will kick off 2014 with a meeting on January 6, to update plans and priorities for the New Year.

Members – The Holiday Party is Friday, December 6. Look for your invitation in the mail. Please bring a nature themed ornament for our Holiday in the Gardens tree at Nature Coast Botanical Gardens.

Holiday in the Gardens. Tree trimming Saturday morning December 7, 9 am at Nature Coast Botanical Gardens. Decorated trees will be on display there through December.

Meeting Location Survey: We have had some challenges with access at our current meeting location, leading us to consider moving to a different venue. We have been offered space at Chinsegut Hill, with no rental fee, and an opportunity to have a long term home. The Board has also considered other options. We would like to hear from members before making a decision.

Heather Sharkey, our VP elect, is putting together a short survey which will be sent to members in early December. Please take a few minutes to complete and return it when it comes to you.

Hickory Hill Native Nursery. Work days scheduled December 6 & 7 to help our long term friend and supporter with maintenance at the nursery. Rita Grant is the contact person. Please help if you can.

Thanks again to all for a great year. Happy holidays!

Jude Simpson
