Sensei Rick Gonzalez
|
Sensei Rick Gonzalez, 3rd Dan, is the chief instructor for karate at
Heritage Martial Arts. Over the years Sensei Rick Gonzalez has studied
Karate, Wing Chun, Jiu-Jitsu, and Judo.
He has studied Chito-Kai, Shotokan, and Yoseikan styles of karate. He
is a teacher of traditional open style of Japanese / Okinawa Karate.
Our system is a blend of Chito-Ryu and Shotokan styles of Karate, called
the Chito-Kai Karate System.

Sensei Debbie Gonzalez

Sensei Debbie Gonzalez, 3rd Dan, is a instructor for karate at
Heritage Martial Arts. Sensei Debbie has many years of instruction in woman's ONLY Karate and children’s karate programs and offers a safe and dynamic karate program.
Sensei Debbie Gonzalez is also a self-defence instructor, instructing
in practical self defense and women’s self defense courses. She is also
certified in Standard First Aid and CPR.

Sempai Josh Lynch
|
Josh Lynch, 1st Dan, is a substitute instructor at Heritage Martial
Arts. Joshua also runs the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) classes, Sundays
from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
Presently Josh is serving with the Canadian military.
Graded to Black Belt on October 1, 2006.

Tom Payne, 2nd Dan, is a substitute instructor for both the adult and kids classes at Heritage Martial Arts.

Sempai Sherman Su
|
Sherman Su, 2nd Dan, is a substitute instructor for both the adult
and children's karate programs at Heritage Martial Arts. He is also the
sole instructor for the morning fitness classes, which have a focus on
speed and power generation, as well as aerobic conditioning. Joining the
club in 1999, he earned his Back Belt in 2003. Sherman is a 3M NCCP
(National Coaching Certification Program) Karate Coach, achieving Level 3
Theory and Level 1 Technical and Practical. Karate is part of his
general fitness regimen, which includes cycling, football, hockey,
skiing, and a variety of sports. He is also certified in Standard First
Aid and CPR.
Graded to 1st Dan Black Belt on May 4, 2003.
Graded to 2nd Dan Black Belt on December 4, 2005.

Wade Wallace, 2nd Dan, is an instructor for the adult classes at Heritage Martial Arts.

Sempai John Ward
|
John Ward, 3rd Dan, is a substitute instructor for both the adult and children's karate programs at Heritage Martial Arts.
Joining the club in 1999, he earned his Back Belt in 2002. John is a level 2 - NCCP (National Coaching
Certification Program) certified coach, coaching in Karate and
Judo. John also enjoys grappling, which is part of his general fitness
routine. This also includes scuba diving, indoor rock climbing,
volleyball and a variety of sports.
Weapons training includes the Bo, Cane, Tonfu and Sai.

Sempai Tiffany Neil
|
Tiffany Neil, 2nd Dan, was a substitute instructor for both the adult
and children's karate programs at Heritage Martial Arts.
Tiffany is now teaching Karate and Wing Chun in Kamloops, British Columbia. She can be reached at Kamloops Wing Chun.
Graded to 1st Dan Black Belt on May 4, 2003.
Graded to 2nd Dan Black Belt on December 4, 2005.
