Lentil Sloppy Joes

1 cup of dry lentils, washed and sorted
4 1/2 cups of water

Sauce:
1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
1 cup of ketchup
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1 tablespoon of prepared mustard
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 dash of Worcestershire sauce
Salt and Pepper to taste

1.  Bring 4 1/2 cups of water to a boil.  Add 1 cup of lentils and reduce heat.  Let simmer for 25-30 minutes.
2.  While lentils are cooking, add sauce ingredients to a sauce pan. 
3.  Cook on low and let simmer.
4.  When lentils are done to your desired consistency, drain and then add to the sauce.
5.  Serve on a bun, bread, or even a leaf of lettuce and enjoy!
