My research interests include speech recognition, recommender system, natural language processing, machine learning, super-resolution image reconstruction, computer vision, and image/video processing.
I am currently working as a software developer with Google, LLC, on automatic speech recognition (ASR) since Nov. 2018.
I worked as a researcher + software developer with Vessel, LLC (which was acquired by Verizon in Nov. 2016), mainly on recommendation, personalization and data analysis projects, from Sep. 2015 to Sep. 2018.
I worked as a researcher with Hulu, LLC, on various applied research projects of recommendation, personalization, natural language processing (NLP), machine learning and big data analysis from Feb. 2012 to Aug. 2015.
I received the B.S. degree, with honors, from the Department of Automation, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2006. Then I received my Ph.D. degree in i-Vision Group of the Department of Automation, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in Jan, 2012. My supervisor is Professor Jie Zhou. During my Ph.D. study, I worked as an intern research assistant in HP Labs China. from Jun. 2007 to Jun. 2008. I have also worked in the Department of EECS, Northwestern University in the United States as a visiting Ph.D. student, supervised by Professor Ying Wu from Nov. 2009 to Nov. 2010.
