About Me

My name is Heather Emokpae (pronounced Em-Oak-Pie). I grew up in Harrisonville and went on to graduate from Truman State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a Master of Arts in Secondary English Education.

I have returned back to the Harrisonville school district after teaching in Sweet Springs, Missouri. Currently, I live in Raymore with my husband, son, and dog.

This year I will be teaching Literature and Composition as well as coaching Varsity cheerleading.

In my rare spare moments, I like to read, play with my son, and peruse Pinterest for new DIY projects to complete.
