Home

My name is Sara Ginter.  I am employed as an SLP for the Muscogee County School System in Columbus Georgia. I am currently assigned to Clubview Elementary, Richards Middle, and Arnold Middle Schools. I have developed this website to provide information to help parents understand their child's communication delay/disorder and to provide ways to help at home.

Adequate communication skills are essential to academic and social success. Public school Speech-language Impaired programs are designed to help remediate these disorders/delays. When  students  are referred by the Student Support Team for speech/language delays, the SLP completes an evaluation.  A team (professionals and parents) will review the evaluation and determine eligibility for services based on State of Georgia guidelines

Working with your child at home will provide the practice he/she needs to master the skills being taught in therapy.  This will also help your child generalize these skills so that they will use them outside of the therapy setting.
