ヘレニズム〜イスラーム考古学研究会について
ヘレニズム～イスラーム考古学研究会は、ヘレニズム前後からイスラーム時代の西アジア、中央アジアを中心に、遺跡、出土品、工芸品、文字資料を用いて、考古学、美術史、碑文学、建築史などを含む総合的な歴史や文化の研究交流を行う場として、1994 年に始まりました。この広大な地域の人々は他地域と活発な交流を続けたので、毎年１回開催する研究会は大きな視野から個別の問題を掘り下げ、その成果を報告集として毎年刊行します。
The Japan Society for Hellenistic-Islam Archaeological Studies was established in 1994 in order to discuss the history and culture of West Asia and Central Asia from various viewpoints including archaeology, art history, epigraphy, architecture, and more. Participants in annual meetings discuss diverse topics covering a wide area of Eurasia, in which active socio-cultural interactions between neighbouring regions and beyond developed in history. The proceedings of each annual meeting have been and will be published.
