I have been supervising counsellors since 1990, both privately and within agencies. I originally trained with Robin Shohet.

I charge the same fee as I do to clients which is £50 per 50 minutes but will work to whatever length of time you want. Many people have an hour and a half per month for which I charge £90. How long you need is, of course, up to you, and I am very happy to negotiate with you what will best meet your requirements.

My approach is humanistic and integrative. I generally supervise counsellors or psychotherapists who use an integrative approach, which often includes aspects of person centred, psychodynamic or cognitive behavioural approaches. I work interactively and relationally, paying attention to parallel process and the unconscious. I particularly like working with newly trained therapists but am more than happy to work with experienced therapists too.

I don’t offer supervision for work with couples or young children or addicts as I don’t have sufficient training or experience in those areas.

I am retiring at the end of 2017 so potential supervisees need to be aware of that before contacting me.
